AZKA had the opportunity to participate in Webinar on Diskusi Isu-Isu Muamalat “Pelaburan Emas Cakna Hukum & Jana Untung” organize by Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) through their Research Division on April 25, 2022 from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm. The objective of the Webinar are to share research results on gold investment issues and provide participants with an understanding of shariah issues related to gold investment. There are two (2) presentation slots in the webinar, namely the first Slot: “Shariah Application in Gold Investment Products” by YBrs. Tuan Haji Lokmanulhakim bin Hussain, Shariah Advisor of Islamic Financial Institutions while the second Slot is: “Gold Investment: Practice in Industry” by YBrs. Dr. Ahmad Sufian bin Che Abdullah, Senior Lecturer, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya. This program was broadcast live through JAKIM’s official social media platform, Facebook My JAKIM/ Youtube JAKIM and was participated by 313 participants.

Income tax is a payment imposed by the government on income received in Malaysia. Income tax is imposed on individuals and non -individuals which is enforced under the Income Tax Act 1967. The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) is appointed by the government as the agency to enforce the act and collect taxes on behalf of the government. When we heard the word TAX, most of the person will feel not comfortable. In fact, those who are not from the taxpayer class will quickly run away from this hot issue.  In fact, the issue of taxes is a good topic and should be taken seriously by all individuals who are generating income, especially entrepreneurs and those who own businesses.
