AZKA had the opportunity to participate in “Muzakarah Zakat Kebangsaan Tahun 2022 Kali Ke-9” organize by Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)) through their Institut Fatwa dan Halal Faculty on July 26-27, 2022 from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. The objective of the Muzakarah examine the issues of zakat and poverty in Malaysia and to understand the method of determining the poverty index in Malaysia. In addition, this Muzakarah also aims to find the best methods and mechanisms to reduce poverty in Malaysia This program was broadcast live through iFFAH official social media platform, Facebook was participated by Zakat Institution, Non Government Organization and Institutions Academics. Hari ini telah diadakan Siri Khas Perkongsian Ilmu bersama Akademi Zakat – PPZ MAIWP : Faktor-faktor yang Mempengaruhi Pembayaran Zakat dari Institusi Korporat yang disampaikan oleh Prof. Dr. Roshayani Binti Dato’ Arshad (Chief Executive INTEC Education College). Program 1 jam ini telah mengupas pelbagai isu berkaitan zakat untuk pengetahuan semua . Program ini adalah bertujuan untuk berkongsi hasil penemuan penyelidikan zakat terkini kepada seluruh masyarakat Islam dimana kajian ini telah bermula pada 2019 dan sehingga kini, terdapat 9 siri yang berjaya diterbitkan. Kajian ini bertajuk ‘Faktor-faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Pembayaran Zakat Dari Institusi Korporat’ dimana kajian ini turut dijayakan bersama 3 ahli kumpulan yang lainnya iaitu Prof Madya Dr. Ruhaini Muda, Prof Madya Dr. Rina Fadhilah Ismail dan Zuraidah Mohd Zam. AZKA had the opportunity to participate in Seminar Kemanusiaan Hikmah Amalan Memberi organize by Public Service Deparment Malaysia (JPA) on 5 July, 2022 from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm. The panel involve in the seminar are: Ustaz Mohammad Yaakub Yusra Bin Mohd Yusof, Director Urusan Murtadha Dakwah Centre Dato’ Prof. Dr. Ab Rahman Izaini Bin Ghani, Surgeon Specialist Neuro, Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia Mrs Siti Sakinah Meor Omar Baki, Chairman Syria Care Malaysia Mr Kuan Chee Heng (Uncle Kentang), Activist Serta Sukarelawan Kemanusiaan This program was conducted at Audotirium, INTAN Bukit Kiara

AZKA was invited to attend the INTEC College Open Day on 18 June 2022. The program was held in Shah Alam and attended by several private companies and Statutory Bodies such as Deloitte, Yayasan Peneraju and Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPN). AZKA is very grateful to INTEC for giving the opportunity to open a book fair. The publication material from PPZ-MAIWP and AZKA was brought to promote to the participants.

AZKA had the opportunity to participate in 7th International Seminar on Maqasid Syariah (SAMS) 2022 organized by Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) on 11 – 12 June 2022 Manager of AZKA represented the Chief Executive Officer as the keynote speaker in SAMS with the title of his presentation Koheran Kutipan dan Agihan Pasca Pandemik: Pengalaman Wilayah PerseketuanThis SAMS was broadcast live through SAMS official social media platform and Facebook SAMS and was participated by local and outside Malaysia. On May 20, 2022, an industry sharing program was conducted at AZKA Corner, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) to the Graduate School of Muamalat (GSM) students. The title is Regulatory Development and Shariah Governance Global Updates. This industry sharing program is organized by GSM, USIM in collaboration with Standard Chartered. The session starts with a welcoming address by Prof. Dr. Zurina Shafii, Director of Centre for Awqaf and Zakat. The speaker from Standard Chartered is Mr. Muhammad Abdul Mubeen, Head of Shariah Department (Global). The program starts at 03.00 until 04.30, and participants can join the session using Microsoft Team.

AZKA was invited to attend Raya Open House by International Centre For Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) which was held at the INCEIF.

On April 29, 2022, AZKA has receive an invitation from Etiqa Takaful to discuss for future collaboration between two parties. In summary, both parties are agreed to: To setup a new AZKA Corner at Institution Academic To develop Takaful Module in the AZKA eLearning It is hope that with this cooperation will spread the da’wah of Zakat and Islamic Finance to the international level.
