AZKA CORNER @ UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA TERENGGANU (UMT)’S OPENING CEREMONY

The 11th AZKA Corner was established in collaboration with Etiqa Takaful and Akademi Zakat (AZKA-PPZ) on 1st March 2023. It was established at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Library (PSNZ), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).

OBJECTIVES:

• Provide a comfortable and specific reading corner related to Zakat, Waqf, Islamic Finance and Islamic Social Finance.
• Apply awareness of the importance of Zakat, especially to students.
• Provide a conducive space for students to acquire relevant Islamic finance knowledge through the latest reading material.

IMPACT

The impact of this joint venture is to bring Etiqa Takaful and AZKA-PPZ closer together with the community, in addition to spreading Islamic financial preaching among students and academics and bringing related books so that they are easily accessible to the students and academics.

CONTINUOUS EFFORT

This effort is not a one-off effort, but rather the latest publications related to Zakat and waqf, especially those published by AZKA-PPZ itself, will donate at least twice a year regularly to PSNZ UMT, to be placed in the AZKA Corner space.
