16 September 2026 – A delegation from Malaysian institutions responsible for Zakat management comprising representatives of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur Zakat Collection Centre (PPZ-MAIWP) visited the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina today.
A reception and a working meeting were held during the visit, focusing on experiences and organizational models for Zakat collection and distribution, as well as opportunities to enhance cooperation and the exchange of best practices between the institutions of the Islamic Community and partner organizations from Malaysia.
The delegation was received at the Rijaset headquarters by the Deputy Grand Mufti (Naib-ul-Reis), Dr. Enes Ljevaković, and the Director of the Department for Religious Affairs, Hafiz Dr. Mensur Malkić.
The working meeting was also attended by the Fatwa-i-Emin, Dr. Ahmed Purić; the Director of the Department for Economic and Financial Affairs, Muhedin Garanović; and the Head of the Zakat Office, Vehid-ef. Arnaut.
During the discussion, the participants presented the activities and experiences of their respective institutions regarding zakat management, emphasizing the importance of an institutional approach to the collection and distribution of funds, as well as the significance of international cooperation and the exchange of experiences in this field.
