Akademi Profesor Malaysia (APM) Presents Digital Transformation Proposals for Zakat and Waqf Institutions, Strengthening Collaboration with PPZ-MAIWP

24 June 2026 (Wednesday) – PPZ-MAIWP received a courtesy visit from the delegation of Akademi Profesor Malaysia (APM), led by Prof. Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Kamal Nasharuddin Mustapha, to discuss opportunities for strategic collaboration in strengthening zakat and waqf management through data and research.

During the session, APM presented several high-impact research proposals to support the digital transformation of zakat and waqf institutions. As a Zakat Collection Agent of PPZ-MAIWP, APM also expressed its continued commitment to contributing academic and research expertise towards the development of a more sustainable zakat ecosystem with greater impact on the ummah.

This strategic collaboration between PPZ-MAIWP and APM is hoped to serve as a catalyst for the adoption of technology that is more ethical, secure and inclusive, while further strengthening zakat and waqf institutions as instruments for the socioeconomic development of the Muslim community.
