PPZ-MAIWP RECEIVES ACADEMIC VISIT FROM DELEGATION OF UNIVERSITAS SYIAH KUALA, BANDA ACEH

Pusat Pungutan Zakat Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (PPZ-MAIWP) has received an academic visit from a delegation of the Islamic Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh, Indonesia.

The delegation was welcomed by the Senior Manager of the Zakat Academy Unit (AZKA) PPZ-MAIWP, Dr. Muhsin Nor Paizin.

The visit aimed to enhance zakat literacy among students through direct exposure to the practical aspects of zakat management.

Among the key areas shared were the procedures for zakat collection as well as the management of zakat institutions in Malaysia.

A total of 22 students from the fields of Islamic Economics and Accounting participated in this session. They are currently undergoing a student exchange programme at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

Meanwhile, the Zakat Academy (AZKA-PPZ) expressed its highest appreciation for the visit and hopes that collaboration between zakat institutions and educational institutions will continue to be strengthened.

This effort is seen as important in expanding international collaboration networks, particularly in the field of zakat and Islamic finance.
