The Webinar Ikon Inspirasi: “Mahalnya Nilai Integriti: Kebersamaan Masyarakat Dan Polis” was held on February 24, 2023.  There can be no more important qualities for members of the Police Service than that they are honest and act with integrity. Without these basic attributes the public can never be expected to trust the police and have the confidence in them that is necessary for a system of ‘policing by consent’. Strong relationships of mutual trust between police agencies and the communities they serve are critical to maintaining public safety and effective policing. Police officials rely on the cooperation of community members to provide information about crime in their neighborhoods, and to work with the police to devise solutions to crime and disorder problems. Similarly community members’ willingness to trust the police depends on whether they believe that police actions reflect community values and incorporate the principles of procedural justice and legitimacy. The Webinar presented by Mr. YDH SAC Nik Ezanee bin Mohd Faisal and Mr. Haji Khairulazhar Samsudin, Assistant General Manager Research & Development, Pusat Pungutan Zakat-MAIWP as moderator.

Advanced chronic kidney disease can cause dangerous levels of fluid, electrolytes and wastes to build up in your body. In the early stages of chronic kidney disease, you might have few signs or symptoms. You might not realize that you have kidney disease until the condition is advanced. Treatment for chronic kidney disease focuses on slowing the progression of kidney damage, usually by controlling the cause. Islamic Social Finance through instruments such as zakat, waqf, and charity are relevant in addressing the poverty gap and helping the country’s socioeconomics. These instruments also have an important impact on improving financial resilience and social well-being through the distribution of wealth and income in society. Along with the development of digital transactions, the technology applications support the transactions carried out by individuals and organizations more quickly, transparently and efficiently, not least in zakat management. The explosion of this technological phenomenon is also felt by zakat institutions, especially in the use of Blockchain technology. This Blockchain technology can make a data transaction unbreakable and works as an access gatekeeper for the data to work automatically, especially if using Smart contract methods. The Smart Contract attached to zakat transactions can guarantee traceability, transparency and confidence in zakat transactions and subsequently is not only able to increase the amount of zakat collection at the state and national level but is also able to increase the effectiveness of distribution to zakat recipients. The Live Webinar Technology Blockchain Based on Smart Contracts in Ensuring the Effectiveness and Transparency of Zakat Collection will presented by Prof. Associate Dr. Khairil Faizal Khairi and Dr. Azuan Ahmad from the University of Islamic Sciences Malaysia (USIM). Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Wan Hashim Wan Teh, Pensyarah Fakulti Pengajian & Pengurusan Pertahanan, Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM). Webinar dimoderatorkan oleh En Azhan Ismail, Ketua Pegawai Kewangan, Pusat Pungutan Zakat (PPZ-MAIWP).
