AZKA Participation in Blockchain Technology Focus Group Discussion

AZKA was invited to joined the Blockchain Technology Focus Group Discussion on 28 June 2022 conducted by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) researcher. The session also attended by other State Islamic Religious Council (MAIN) such as Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah (LZNK), Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Istiadat Melayu Terengganu (MAIDAM), Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Sembilan (MAINS) and Zakat Pulau Pinang (ZPP).

This study aims to examine stakeholders’ beliefs on the management of zakat in Malaysia, especially in the use of digital technology. This study also intends to suggest using blockchain technology to improve the effectiveness of the zakat management system.

The research title propose by researcher is Kajian Pengukuhan Dasar Kepercayaan Pengurusan Zakat Secara Digital Melalui Pengadaptasian Teknologi Blockchain.
